A native of Montgomery Alabama, Lisa has been entertaining audiences since she was 12 years old. For the past several years, Lisa has been traveling all over the southeastern United States and beyond, performing for various, concerts, private and corporate functions, wedding receptions, and other events. Often called "The little lady with the big voice", Lisa has astonished crowds everywhere with her amazing vocal skills.
Lisa released her first CD, which is titled LISA PERKINS, “Something for the people” in 2004, and it has received rave reviews from various radio stations across the nation. This project is a variety of songs that can relate to everyone. One of the songs on this cd is called “Farewell”, which is a tribute to the people who lost their lives on September 11th 2001, as well as those who lost their lives fighting for our country. Farewell was endorsed by the State Department of Veteran’s Affairs, all 50 states. She was then in turn, invited to sing “Farewell” at the Veterans Day celebration banquet for President George W. Bush in 2004.
Often being compared to and influenced by artist such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Aretha Franklin, Lisa considers herself to be tremendously blessed to be put in a category with such extremely talented veteran female artist.
On August 4, 2001, Lisa was featured on the front page of the Birmingham News, a very popular newspaper published out of Birmingham Alabama. This Newspaper covers all of Alabama, and parts of Tennessee. Ms. Perkins was featured because out of 24 acts performing at the Birmingham Heritage Festival on a combination of four stages on Friday, August 3rd, Lisa & The E-Lusion was recognized as the most entertaining, professional, and exciting.
In just 6 short years, Lisa & The E-Lusion have taken the local music entertainment industry by storm. They have already been approached by Columbia Records and The Real Deal Records, a record company owned by Evander Holyfield. Lisa is also Owner and CEO of Titanium Music Productions, which is a recording studio, music production company, Artist management, music publishing company, and booking agency for live entertainment located in Montgomery Alabama. She is also the owner and founder of Baby Tiger Records, which is a subsidiary of Titanium Music Productions.
Lisa has also done TV interviews, as well as radio interviews and talk shows because of the widespread interest in her and her band. They also had the privilege of performing for The Honorable Don Siegleman, whom is the Former Governor for the State of Alabama, for his election campaign. Lisa was specifically requested for this event. They have also entertained huge celebrities such as Jay-Z, Julius Irving, Evander Holyfield, O.J. Simpson, Donald Trump, and Magic Johnson.
This band was also filmed and broadcast on WAKA, Channel 8 news for their outstanding performance at the Music Festival for Alabama State University in September of 2000.
Lisa & her brother Eric Perkins, whom is her keyboardist, also perform for a statewide television show in Montgomery Alabama called Good Evening Alabama. This show airs every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
